Heri J. Albertorio on Michael Chabon’s Kavalier & Clay

Me

As part of my academic interview series, this episode will talk about comics in the undergraduate classroom.  My guest is Heri Albertorio, and he’s a Grad student of English Literature from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez Campus. His main focus is American Literature and he also focuses on Comics Studies, particularly applying comics discourse in the study of literary novels. He hates flying, but he wishes he could fly like that guy from that comic (you know the one). He loves Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookies (but only when they’re cold. They’re gross at room temp.)  He is pictured above in an illustration by artist Andrea Pecinkas, who is mentioned in the interview.

The musical feature will be Charlie Freak from Aukland, New Zealand.  You can find more of their music here.
